About Temple of Artemis: The Temple of Artemis stood in the ancient Greek city of Ephesus, in what is now Turkey. Dedicated to the goddess Artemis, it was one of the largest buildings of the ancient world, filled with more than 100 towering marble columns. The temple was destroyed and rebuilt multiple times, including once by a man seeking fame through destruction. Rebuilt Even Grander — After Herostratus's fire, the Ephesians rebuilt the temple even bigger and more magnificent than before.
