Standards & Alignment
We publish exactly which standards each Barrari Academy book teaches — and on which page — so you can verify it yourself, not take our word for it.
Every Barrari Academy geography book is aligned to the U.S. National Geography Standards (Geography for Life), for ages 8–12. No single 40-page activity book covers all 18 standards, and we don't claim otherwise. Our seven geography journeys were built around different kinds of record — countries, physical extremes, water, Earth's forces, climate, the built world and great cities — so together they reach the standards below, across five of the six essential elements. The four newest journeys are what add Standard 9 (population) and deepen 12 (settlement), 15 (climate & people) and 17 (interpreting the past). Here is the map, standard by standard.

Every Barrari Academy history book is built around the C3 Framework for Social Studies — the inquiry-based framework most U.S. states use — and the National Standards for History, for ages 8–12. Each book's timeline builds chronological thinking, its profiles build historical comprehension, and its discussion questions develop real historical inquiry: asking questions, weighing causes, and considering different points of view. Our seven series each lean into a different historical skill — Empires into causation, Explorers into perspective, Lost Cities into reading evidence, and so on. Every Barrari Academy Space book is aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) — ESS1, Earth's Place in the Universe — for ages 8–12, the science framework most U.S. states use. NGSS is three-dimensional, so each book carries a disciplinary core idea across its seven chapters, a science practice in its hands-on Chapter-7 experiment and its 'Your Mission' prompts, and a crosscutting concept such as scale or systems. Our four Journeys lean into different core ideas — the Solar System and its scale, the stars and the universe, the Earth-Sun-Moon system, and the engineering of spaceflight (PS2 and ETS1). We publish what each Journey teaches, and we don't claim what a 40-page activity book can't.
