About Angel Falls: Angel Falls tumbles off the edge of a massive sandstone plateau deep in the Venezuelan rainforest. It plunges so far that during the dry season, much of the water blows away as mist before ever reaching the ground. Named for an American Aviator — Named after Jimmie Angel, who flew past it in 1933.
